unusual vaginal bleeding, with clots. NO pain, or other symptoms. What would cause this?

I passed a clot, with blood. Felt almost "empty" after. I’ve had NO pain at all. Bleeding al but stopped for a few hours, then started again, and passed clot. Bleeding stayed, but very light, then nothing. Still NO pain. Clots are squishy like. Not at all like misscarrige. Not pregnant, don’t want to be. Haven’t lost weight, not stressed. Did start walking, but only 3 days ago, and less than a mile each day.
The clots very in size. The first was about the size of a quarter, the second aboaut the size of a nickel. Others have been much smaller. I am on birth control, and have been for 16 years. I have been QUITE regular. I shouldn’t start for another week and a half.

Clots aren’t abnormal if it is with your period. How big are they. If it is between period bleeding then it could be more serious. Call your doctor if bleeding is between periods.
