Hard bump on jaw 6 weeks after wisdom teeth extracted?

Surgery was in early October. All 4 were impacted and extracted. All sides of my mouth are fine/normal except for my lower right jaw. A big, hard bump is on my jaw line. It feels like a bone (not bone fragments – it’s a big chunk of bone the size of a grape). It hurts when I touch it but I’m mostly scared it’s there forever. I’ve had x-rays done and the doctor says there is nothing there. I don’t trust it. Has anyone experienced this? Could a blood clot be this hard? It literally feels hard as a bone.

Go to a dental surgeon or a specialist. I had my wisdoms taken out and I had nothing like that. I’ve never even heard of it.
Note: anything that your body ever suspects of being wrong, no matter how simple or small it may be, it never hurts to ask a specialist. your body should be the most important thing to you, take care of it.

    Get a second opinion. Seriously.
It could be scar tissue or something maybe? Or just swollen… although to still be swollen is a sign that something is wrong.
