he has done a series of blood test my insulin levels were 5 times the normal and that is all hes done im 22 and he told me i had pcos by an ultrasound i had when i was 16!! i was very angry they never done anything about it then
I am shocked to hear your Dr hasn’t ordered any tests despite your symptoms. I hope they did run some tests when they diagnosed PCOS as it would be mad to diagnose something like this without proper investigations. Test that you should do if you haven’t done them lately are:
First – blood tests for the following: Thyroid and liver function, prolactin, FSH, estradiol, testosterone and progesterone (to check you don’t have an hormonal unbalance that is causing all these problems)
Second –a pelvic ultrasound (to check for cysts, fibroids or other abnormalities).
Did you do any of the above? Please reply, I go mad when I hear that so many young women are living with problems that could be easily solved with a proper diagnosis/therapy.
